Linda Olsen is an International Board Certified
Lactation Consultant, Prenatal Instructor, Postpartum
Doula, mother of 5 children who are all married, and
grandmother of 11 grandchildren...so far. She and her
husband of 34 years are also presently foster parents.
In 20 years she attended close to 200 births as a Birth
Doula, but does little of that kind of support now. She has
been serving the women and families of breastfeeding
babies for six plus years as an LC (lactation consultant) and has taught hundreds of
couples in over eight years in prenatal classes about the birth process, comfort
measures to use in labour, newborn needs and abilities, and family postpartum care
plans.
Using personal experiences and current research her goal is to empower individuals and
couples to seek out the answers for care and support they need during their childbearing
years so they can start their family the way they feel good about.
Parenting from the heart is important for parents. It is the best way to ensure love and
safety and security for these new little ones within their homes. Knowing what current
research supports in this area helps parents make informed choices as to what’s best for
their new family.
Wonderful families made up of happy, contented individuals are much needed assets in
today’s world and starting off with good birth, breastfeeding and postpartum adjustment
information lays a great foundation for willing and committed partners to build on.
